Shadowboxer,

re your posted link taken from the 'newage' site...
The info in it seems to come at this from a number of different new angles...not before expressed, imo.
and makes one wonder where the info comes from?.
ie "Nkwe's pursuit of the two farms ran into serious trouble about four years ago when a section of the affected community called Bengwenyama ya Maswati challenged the awarding of the prospecting rights to Nkwe."
challenged the awarding of the prospecting rights "TO NKWE"?
are we back to 2007/8? were SH's told?
This is a completely NEW angle of grievance, isnt it?
Have I read the article correctly and how much credence should we give it?
It makes me question...
is there any weakness in G awarding?? the rights to Nkwe?
Why would a tribal/community object to NKP involvement?
Would ARM/Anglo have a problem with it..ongoing?
Is the journalist wrong on this point and shouldnt they correct any ambiguities or state where the info comes from?
I am pretty sure that the prospecting rights were 'awarded' to Genorah or prior name to that "Tropical Paradise" around 2004-6 because thats the name that appeared on the DMR site.
Now....
THE FARMS HAVE BEEN AWARDED A SECOND TIME...
(after a number of court cases based on rather different arguements)..imo.
Bengwenyama Ya Maswati aimed high...hoped for 2 farms?...and not half of a poor? one...but that wouldnt make them the next "Bafokeng" (rags to riches article)...so what would? 9 farms? a partner?
Some big reajustments of thinking and considering this statement
"However, the representatives of the dissenting community were absent "...they havent adjusted that thinking?
They are not consultable...or dont accept the deal that the Beng group spoken for by Sizani Nkosi have?
What we need is a clear statement from the newly recognised Bengwenyama Regent,Eunice Thabsile,(according to the Green gazette dated Feb 2011,and who is listed on the Bengwenyama site as Chairman of the Bengwenyama traditional Council, imo.Do you agree?
As a aside does another or more higher up regent suggest these type Premier recognised appointments? I vaguely remember this type of recommendation process...
or is this purely a hereditory based appointment?
and as we have seen these type of crucial positions get disputed and may end up before commissions or court etc etc.
Blind freddy can see whats going on and on and on,imo.
but I ask....
Will wealth stay in the ground or get spread around?
I really think that SAs needs for its population will make it get spread around.

I am interested in what Susan Shebagnu says in the video found on the link below...
If I hear her correctly...in the last sentance she says something like...
..."Tendancy of announcing transactions to the public that have not passed the Regulatory test/act? that has led players to act in an irresponsible manner."
I wonder whats happened?
see video here...
