Not necessarily sometimes about waiting longer to take up a SPP. For example, I am a ORG holder and recent SPP was on offer at $13 which came on market this day. I quickly decided to take up my entitlement and sold equivalent prior at over $17 for some cash feeling confident SP will not dip below $13. This was a generous SPP by the way. Kwaidan1 highlights this strategy well in his post above.

Have been a NXS holder for many years and will certainly take up offer. I felt ORG was a safe bet not to retreat below the SPP SP. With NXS, like many SPP, not too sure if it will dip, but still a good strategy to keep in mind. I took up a NXS SPP sometime back on offer around .80.

When you are playing with big bucks, cent movements or part there of, can be very profitable indeed, as Kwaidan1 has demonstrated.
