Sentiment seems to change daily on world economics and how the sharemarket will perform. It can be a nightmare for investors who look at the daily fluctuations.

I guess your mind changed over the weekend and you will sell on monday? SDL sentiment and that of IO follows closely to what the fund managers are spruiking at the time. It's part of the reason we have the 4 stages-it's money related.Pump and dump then gloom and accum. (just made that last bit up-lol!)

This, imo, is how funds and instos work. They need to make money for their clients and to make it in the sharemarket you need to take it off someone else.

Last qtr of 2010 was very bullish for resources/shares/commodities.Funds etc were loaded up and were out there pumping up the whole sector.

Come Jan 2011 they are selling to you/me/traders/mums and dads.We had had some dereases across many equities this year. Now the doom and gloom stories come out so they can grab mum/dads shares before the next pump. They have the capital to affect the market and hence the sentiment follows.

I personally don't believe we are in for a crash. USA can not and will not allow it.They, imo are still dragging themselves out of a recession and when that economy starts ticking it will be a boom for equities.China is responsibly managing it's economy, imo, and many countries acroos Europe have bottomed out. I can only see things improving from here barring usual hiccups and black sheep.

i have friends in the mining services industry who are saying things are going along very nicely. Demand is strong.Jobs are lining up by the bucket load. The Aus $ is causing a little pause with companies having the drills ready to go once it becomes more favourable.

Thanks for allowing me my opinion on what is a bit outside of this stocks forum but related nonetheless
