thats a good question, howeveri would back the russians over the chinese anytime. but remember this no longer the post cold war era, it is the modern era. which means although kazahkstan has 30% of its population ethnic russian and the involvement of russian companies, you have to remember that they are strategically located close to china and have a lot of resources that are closer and cheaper for china than other countries such as africa and australia. everyone has seen how ruthless the chinese are in their hostile and sneaky takeovers in australia and and more recently africa. however i dont want to get into a debate over geopolitics here. i am hoping JPR gets approved fast as i am holding long term regardless of this gem of a company. that being said however i get more nervous each day that the approval process will factor in politics rather than economic and commercial factors. also,im hoping though for announcement soon that JPR wil list on the london stock exchange so we can warn the government that the english and australian investors are the audience here as well as our main backers, the russian waterford group. remember london appreciates kazahkstan more than australia does as a investment friendly country.
