You are perfectly correct, that's why Gaddafi is fighting the rebels, but er, we're on the side of the terrorists there. OK, maybe we just need direction from above ie. the Pentagon(not God) as to who is a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter and when the same group changes from one to another.
That would be very helpful, then we would know what to think.
