That's just unacceptable. Especially considering that apparently there's no evidence of the previous plant in Malaysia causing any harm either.
At the very least, this review should speed up the process of granting the permit for Lynas to start using the LAMP. If the Government is clever, they will follow this route as it would help silence the protesters while also helping the application review process. There'd be no reason to review the safety again once it has been reviewed by this panel of international experts.
