Even though I have held for 3+ years I would only have been up on SDL less than a year. At some stages I was down over 60%. Hope that gives you some comfort as for years I was in a similar position to what you feel now. I decided to accumulate during the GFC am was never smart enough to get the bottom right.
This may or may not be the right choice for many.
I kept on thinking of why I invested in SDL and have stuck to my plan. I am not TA educated so daily, weekly, monthly movements mean little to me so long as the board don't loose their long term focus on getting this project up. In my eyes they are performing brilliantly.
With Hanlong and this recent $60 million I am even more confident in my investment decision.
As stated many many times, this is a stock for the patient.
