Also read about how lawn clippings is not a good mulch for the garden without it being composted first. It tends to mat together and repel water, hence the water won't filter through to the soil.

Read about a person who recycled tyres for spuds. One with hay/lucern, then added another and more hay as the foliage grew and kept building the 'tower'. When time to harvest, reverse the procedure and have easy access to the crop.
Any special tips for planting in soil???
