Therefore I think that this latest 'news' is a scam, and I'd have difficulty in accepting that Obama isn't aware of that. (Btw - I really do think Obama is an exceptional salesman.)
Purpose of the scam, if that's what it is, is puzzling - perhaps it's to give a 'valid' reason for the US withdrawing from Afghanistan, but I doubt it.
I have a dread that, given the completely unrecoverable financial mess the USA is in, it is the lead in to something really sinister/false flag.
* This would see a flight to the US$, strengthening both it and the bond market.
* It would see the USA become pre-eminent on the world stage again, rather than the laughing stock it's increasingly devolving into.
* It would massively strengthen Obama's presidential position in the latter part of his term in office (with an election coming up).
* It would give the US a 'plausible' reason to 'delay' settling their debt payments coming due, if not to default entirely.
* It would give those in control in the USA reason/excuse to increase their power/control over the people.
* It would engender massive profits for the industrial/military complex.
* It would see the American people rally in support of the President, his administration, the government and the country America (and more civil rights and freedoms could be readily curtailed).
With some thought I could probably go on a bit longer, but I think that's enough from me to answer your question.
