Hope2008 - yes oppies will lose value over time but really only closer to expiry - these don't expire til 2013 so a hell of a lot of coal to come out of the ground before then. IMO oppies are currently a good LT buy with more upside leverage than heads (yes higher risk too) - I only hold oppies
