To be honest there is only one reason for the report.
The link between analyst coverage and IBD services is well established. If you were LYC who would you go to for advice? Firm A with a buy rec or Firm B with a sell rec.
Just look at the distribution of Buy/Hold/Sells at the bottom of the report.
