    yes and no because the rise in commodites far exceedes the drop in the us dollar.

    I think what you are saying is the inflation in commodities is diven by a low us dollar. I agree that is partly true. This in effect has lead to high inflation in china which is also true. I think China has overheated based on demand internal and external, not just one factor.

    The dumping of gold overnight just magnified the influence of the U.S. on Chinas fundamentals. The one thing different in this crash is the liquidity in the market is better.
