Wow...lol, where do you start? I see profiteers, fundamentalists, bulls and bears...But still nobody really has any idea where the silver price could go, including me.

"Fill sorry for those who got caught up in the hype. I am beginning to think somewhat that the internet is being used as a tool by the big boys as a way to get the mums and dad's to speculate. Then once commodities have been over extedended to burn them."

Enoch, I am a Dad/mum investor, that has got to be the most pessimistic view on silver I have read during this slump and is as pointless as your post. Glad you have been learning lessons, funny I would have thought mum and dad investors would have learned the same during the GFC when their retirement funds got wiped out, but they must be new to the game, glad to see your on top of it son, if luck is what you base your game on.

So here I am a "mum and dad" investor, lol, beginning to feel I should have a full head of gray hair and watching the old girl knit a rug or something. Instead I am here like some sort of keyboard ninja moron speaking what I think again.

I bought at the highs yep! I think it was around $44AUD an ounce. I am bullish on the LT and have been consolidating all the way down and will again next week if indeed the new margins represent what I consider good value and a discount to previous buys. I have not mortgaged the house against it and its purely profit money anyway.

As a few here realise I am only protecting myself and family against inflation and the possible/probable collaspe of the $US dollar. So where do you call the price of asset protection of wealth and family. Is it in the lead of a loaded gun? Which funnily enough is only in the hands of mum and dad investors anyway before generation Y.

I enjoyed a post yesterday which actually questioned the inflation hedge in silver for Australian's and where would it go here for us if indeed the $US dollar did collapse. The post was here and hardly got a raise on the forum lol...not that, that means jack anyway...

In all honesty who knows where it will go and who knows what could happen? Shouldnt people be asking politicians these questions?

My answer would be more along these lines...It was raised in the Gold forums and it speaks of South Africa speaking of nationalising their commodity companies which was in the news lately:
    http://af.reuters.com/article/topNews/idAFJOE7440LL20110505

Well I would be of the understanding if the markets crashed you would possibly find that the nationalising of energy and precious commidity markets would be one of the first steps a Government would take in the protection of the countries wealth and assets. Is this assertion and thinking wrong? Or doesnt sovereignty of a nations wealth no longer matter in a world of globalisation run by multi-nationals who wouldnt give two shakes if people are starving in a country where their company is raping profits? Only media and publicity has changed some of these pricks ways in the past, who's to police them in utter financial chaos?

So if the majority of countries actually adopt this, exactly how much surplus gold and silver would be marketed if its going straight into national coffers? Chances are this wont happen in Western Countries as we are probably just as much infiltrated in the higher levels of Government here when it comes to Globalisation/Privatisation anyway lol. Our Government does a better job of selling us out then it does protecting national interest in the guise of making a profit.

But so be it if smaller countries take different views throughout the world you may find that there could be a bigger shortage of mined silver/Gold being distributed throughout world markets in the event of the unthinkable $US dollar crash.

Call me pessimistic on the $US dollar, but the writing is on the wall and the GFC should have been dealt with along with the $US dollar in 2008.

Looks like the gold rush of gold detectors is about to come...I have my spots do you? Havent found any silver nuggets yet so I will just keep buying them cheap for easy exchange...GB all real holders.
