"Woods and Newill actually regretted that they couldn't show us the EPR's performance on ballistic jelly, saying they had planned on it (it was even in our schedule for the event) but legal turned them down for fear of divulging SECRET info"

Remastered, have you ever watched a cop show on TV where they used ballistic jelly,in order to capture a projectile, to look at the rifling marks imparted by a weapon? it is done at relatively close range.

What was the reason for not allowing them to use this jelly to demonstrate penetration? what would be so secretive that they didn't want this to be shown, after all, it is after the projectile has already left the barrel, what sort of secret could have been revealed? could it be that it would have been possible to see two projectiles in the jelly instead of one?
If so then they are using mach 5/50 tech in this round.

I could be wrong? but I cant think of any other logical reason why they would not allow the use of this visual display of the round once having been fired and captured in ballistic jelly, if there were two projectiles in the jelly once fired then the game would be up!

Mach 5/50 is metalstorm technology, I also suspect that this announcement is tied to a recent announcement asking for a weapon to be designed to replace the M4 and one that is capable of hyperburst (Two projectiles hitting a target in precisely the same place almost instantaneously, and possibly a weapon that uses a piston driven gas operated reload mechanism as against the current gas operated only system in the M4, I believe the use of a piston gives them a choice of positions to use with the gas generated? and I also believe a piston driven gas operation is much more reliable because of burnt propellant residue.
