Probably not worth starting a new thread BUT we got a smalll mention on the 7pm ABC news Sunday evening.

It was in an item about the increasing number of prospectors arriving at Kalgoorlie lately to try and make their fortunes out of what was termed a new gold rush due to the current $1,500/oz.

There was vision and interviews with some of the hopefuls and a few words from a woman from the Dept of Mines talking up the prospects of Kal as a gold mining centre. Haha, we didn't know that?

Then the commentary turned to two prospectors who had made a couple of million $$$ out of discovering a new gold province and selling it to Focus Minerals!! It wasn't mentioned by the name Treasure Island or the fact that it was in Lake Cowan near Coolgardie.

You can never get enough publicity though and it was interesting that 1/ We were the only company mentioned and 2/ The word about TI has spread to and is spoken of in the context of the greatest gold producing province in Australia....Kalgoorlie.
