The foot speed required to play tennis these days is quite unbelievable. Watching a game even from as recently as the 90's looks slow compared to present day. No wonder the knees etc are struggling to hang in there.

Federer is quite amazing in that he has had few injuries for someone who has played at the very top for so long. I guess the fact that he is such a well balanced mover with such great anticipation and reaction time has helped immensely.

Amazing how things change, and certain players suddenly improve. For awhile there, I thought Rafa was going to eclipse Federer's Grand Slam count by the time Rafa was in his late 20's, but suddenly Djokovic seems to have Rafa's measure. Will be interesting to see if Rafa can up the ante. Next thing some young bloke will step up etc.

Perhaps Roger's Grand Slam record will stand for some time, as it deserves to in many ways. Certainly a marvellous athlete to watch in action, but his days as No. 1 would appear to be behind him now.
