Oorain I think it's time for eagle to see the optometrist again. His one eye (left leaning) is being obscured by his latest prescription's unnecessary rose tint. I fear if he doesn't get this seen to he might miss the majority of Australia about to turn even more conservative and bin the rest of Labor's disastrous term in office.
I was talking to a prominent Melbourne lawyer today who knows Bill Shorten and the back room squad well and the inside word is that Labor knows it is finished. They are trying to jam through as many of their more radical reversals of the Howard policies as possible before being thrown out.
Bob Brown has a lucky break, he can tee off at labor as much as he wants as his party has already decided to leave labor in the dust and break away. It is only the promise of hitting business and the middle class of australia that keeps the unholy alliance from open warfare right now.
It would be comic if it wasn't so pathetic - this great country reduced to the politics of envy and squabbles over handouts to the undeserving.
Labor will be out of power for a generation as a result of these fools.
