    ACB, You are certainly correct about the low primary vote. However, a fair swag of what they have lost has moved more to the left, that is, the Greens and Labor gets those back in preferences. The fact is that even with the low primary vote based on current polls about a 5% move back to Labor could put them back in front. Politics is much more volatile now and Labor can make up the ground over the next two years. Its main problem so far has been a hostile Senate since 2007 that caused the shelving of the ETS. On first of July the left parties combined control the Senate so more government legislation should get through. This could be the Governments turning point. If they still fail to deliver then even Tony Abbott may win the election. However if Labors stocks improve and Tonys go backwards he could be at risk before the next election. All very interesting from a political point of view.
