Lol. I've bought the Dick Smith DGTEC for $69, another for mother and another for my daughter, to record programs (we already have HD TVs).
They take a USB flash drive, or you can connect an external hard drive via USB port, and thus makes a very cheap High definition recorder.
But I don't know what the fuss is with the government policy.... very old news.
Most capital city pensioners won't get them till 2013, by which time I daresay we may have another government anyway
