It doesn't appear that Swan or Gillard actually think C02 is a problem otherwise one would think they would have been more astute with this and other things such as their own air travel. They don't seem to give their own carbon foot prints or carbon emissions from their policies much attention unless they can use it as an excuse to get into the hip pocket of the average Aussie.
I think that c02 is no more than a means of collecting more revenue or to re-distribute wealth for the purpose of votes at the next election. Just my opinion, of course!
