My first reaction was that this is not a good move and the market appears to agree. However, on reflection I'm not so sure. For example: Is it possible that the individual OAK properties can be converted into franchise operations? Or are they already in this space? RFG seem to have the wood on this franchising lurk. A maybe tick here.

There are I understand RFG / OAK Directors in common. The losses via Qld floods and Chch earthquakes should be covered by insurance. A couple of ticks here but not huge ones.

As previous posters have noted the major is the funding. Sort that and we may have a winner. And that's a very big tick.
