That is pathetic Farmboy - back to the farm for you!

Wind farms are commercially viable now, otherwise they would not be in the fastest growing energy sector would they - duh! (I understand solar energy may have recently overtaken wind energy for that title... its a bit hard to tell, but a moot point for this post.)

"Renewables are the fastest-growing source of world energy, with consumption increasing by 2.6 percent per year."

You show a rather lame photo of a wind turbine burning out - scaaary... Run for your lives! People will die in their millions!!

Got any photos of Fukushima or Chernobyl?

Got any photos of people with mercury poisoning due to coal-fired power? Or photos of over-topped mountains - due to coal mining - that will never recover in our lifetimes?

Or photos of an explosion at an oil refinery? Or an explosion on an oil platform? Photos of the Gulf oil spill?

Or the impacts of climate change? (Maybe not, since the latter has not really kicked in yet.)

Is there any coal seam gas fraccing going on under your farm, Farmboy?

Have you never ever considered adding to your farm's income with a wind turbine or two? Its big business for farmers in the USA.

That post is lame, very very lame.

P.S. Speaking of public investment and propping up industries, we spend far more on fossil fuel subsidies thanm we do on renewable energy investment. If fossil fuels are so cheap and plentiful then why do they get massive subsidies all over the world?
