benmc, do you think that management would be idiotic enough to be spending time on this announcement if it meant that negotiations regarding strategic partners would suffer? If you think that management would allow any work being done on an LOI to interfere in any way, (be that by consuming time that could have been spent cementing a deal with a partner, or anything else for that matter) then maybe you need to start thinking about whether you have enough trust in management to continue to hold this investment. I wonder whether you think the likes of GC & GJ got to where they are by letting themselves inapporpriately being side-tracked by LOI's when the Chinese are waiting in the board room to continue discussions. Maybe there was a break in talks which allowed some time to be spent on this LOI? Doesn't that sound a little more realistic and logical than allowing the LOI work to take precedence over strategic talks?
Do you think these highly skilled people can only do one thing at a time? Must their 24 hours in each day be taken up by strategic partner talks and nothing else, even when the strategic partner is unavailable to talk for whatever reason? I think some people need to take a breath and be a little more REALISTIC in their approach.
