###various + radiometrics 101### Here are a couple of examples of radiometric surveys and the deposits that were found:

    Koongarra NT Aus …3.5 MT @ 0.37% U

Initial Airborne spectrometer survey by Noranda 1969. A number of Airborne anomalies followed up with ground radiometrics initial surface anomaly peaking @ 1300 cps and increasing to 5300 cps @ 3.4 m below surface.

    Narbelek 600,000 t @ 1.5% U
Airborne anomalies followed up by costeans and ground radiometric surveys anomalies Queenland Mines 1979… Peak ground radiometric anomaly of 5600cps.

Radium Hill South Australia (historic mine site) 969,000 @ 0.12% U2O3
Ground radiometrics of remnant ore material produced 5000 cps ( ore estimated at 0.1% -0.2% U2O3)

Radioactive cloud from 1st Maralinga nuke test gave readings of between 25 and 95,000 cps

Anyone know where South Africa tested their Nukes?

OK so RTM’s anomalies are positively glowing, v. encouraging results, and they are correct in saying it is indicative of uranium mineralisation, however, it is early stages and whether or not they have an economic ore body is still a moot point.

Re RTM giving no indication of the Uranium discovery when they had their last speeding ticket I don’t see too much amiss there. An Airborne radiometric anomaly can be many things so would not normally warrant reporting. Ground truthing by a hand held detector will give essentially instantaneous results. So though RTM may have know of the airborne anomalies for several months they could have had the geo send the results of the ground truthing the day before they were announced.

As to What Tuesdays announcement may be. I would say the following are possible:
    1) Capital raising I actually doubt this at this stage because RTM raised 1.8 mill last November and 3.6 million in October so they should still have a good wack of that cash in the Bank
    2) Joint venture announcement they have indicated previously that they were in discussions with a significant tantalite producer for their tantalite targets on Erongo, now poss Uranium JV
    3) Pseudo drilling results…..RTM announced planned RC drilling to be completed by April on Erongo. This was targeting tantalite. However, it is possible they moved the rig ( prob truck mounted & the terrain would not require much site prep) quickly to site to bang down a hole or two. They could then announce radiometric analyses of a hole or two, without waiting for more in depth assay techniques. In this case a trading halt would be most warranted.
    4) They have been granted the mining rights to the mineral sands at their Skeleton Coast diamond project.

Looks good…. Watching like a Hawk.
