usually the bot will dissapear a couple of days before the announcements also, i think 'they' get a slap on the wrist for manipulating a stock price within 3 days of news
PLV probably needs 2 more weeks anyway as you have price supression making holders panic, the time between take up/allocation of SPP, settlement of shares hand out, some go to market and are flogged if up 5-10% etc, then the news.
