LOL I also hope that we all are not stung however that old saying that you haven't lost until you sell is really just rubbish.

If you had 20 thousand and now you have 10 thousand hypothetically that may never change which means that you have actually lost that capital unless the share price rises.

The only difference is that when you sell you are then telling the tax man.

Until you sell you don't have to tell the tax man.

Make no mistake, when you see a loss on paper it is really a loss just not a realised loss through tax as yet.
