I always assumed that the $500 mil quote by in the press was a rounding of the asset debt. I think that the sale price would be well above that to cover a proportion of the Corporate Dept, let alone a return for the long suffering note holders.
I doubt that the journalists have any more idea of the likely sale price than we do...
