Hmmm ... Shorten communicates as one who is up to speed on relevant issues and able to articulate high-end strategies/points succinctly.
Having lost talent such as Tanner/Falkner(back-bench), Shorten is sadly too few left who are a positive in terms of intellectual/human capital for Labs.
