you dont compete with "Germany" and "Japan" when you are manufacturing high end, high tech products

individual companies compete with their competitors

the country advantage is not as important

Australia is unlikely to produce the next Sony or Bosch but that doesnt mean it cant create another 50 COH and make us a manufacturing powerhouse

all it takes is politicians not to spend so much cash buying votes

considering that, I have to concede its unlikely to happen
