Moby, I know it is privatised in Vic, it was also privatised in NSW recently but I don't know how much is still owned by the government there. FiT's are a political issue because it could be suggested they influence electricity prices, a political hot potato. I don't trust Baillieu. He has decided not to close Hazelwood, wind farm development (at least from what I have read) is at a standstill in this state and there is also the high country grazing debacle. What makes you think they will be enviro-friendly? They have done zero to prove it so far! If he could skewer the desal plant he probably would - now that actually would be environmentally friendly I suspect, LOL.
