Hi Rod, thanks for your comments. I wasn't intending to bag shareholders, and I realise that many are sitting on substantial losses. I was too, but I was lucky enough to have a few opportunities to trade my way back to a more acceptable position.
My comments about taking issues direct to the company rather than posting them on HC or other public forums was not intended to stifle discussion, but I do believe that overwhelmingly negative sentiment about a stock on HC can deter prospective investors, which in the end can subdue the share price.
Often when a stock comes to my attention, the first thing that I do is have a look at comments on HC about that stock, and if the existing shareholders are strongly negative about the stock, I rarely go any further with it, unless I already have some information which suggests that some proper research is warranted.
What really does annoy me is non-holders who consistently bag a stock even though they have no financial interest in the company, and I'm very wary of the motives of such people. I just had a look at Good Oil's last ten posts on HC, and five of them have been moderated, which speaks volumes. I've no idea why he consistently posts negative views about CTP, and most of the criticisms appear to have no basis in fact, and appear to have been just dreamed up to find something negative to post.
As I've posted on CTP in the past, if non-holders have factual information or intelligent comments about a company, I welcome their posts, even if they are negative. It's just the unfounded rubbish that I object to.
I'm certainly with you in hoping that we see a lift in the CTP share price in the near future, Rod. It takes a special kind of investor to stick with exploration companies which have gone through some tough times, but although the risks are usually high with this type of investment, the rewards can be enormous, and I guess it's that lure which keeps us in this market.
