Dust, even your Labor leaders cannot tell us how much the Carbon Tax is going to be, BUT, they have admitted it will cost the average household money with out argument. They just have no idea just how much it will cost, because they have no idae what they are going to set the price at. Fantastic, what leadership! Now they are arguing among them selves whether they are going to include petrol in their tax. Crean says no it isn't included, Combet says "I haven't heard that before", while the Bobby and the Greens are chanting "it must be included"!
And DaveR, this is reality, the NBN is a white elephant and the Carbon tax WILL cost jobs, and it WILL do absolutely nothing for the environment. Anybody who believes any different is totally delusional. Every country without exception that introduced a Carbon tax has found it cost jobs and retreated. The so called Green jobs did not eventuate. An intelligent Government would realise the consequences of increasing the cost of everything. Inflation...... Once everything goes up the Unions will start their campaign for wages increases, the non ending circle goes on. The reimbursement to householders for increased cost of electricity etc is an absolutely ridiculous idea, that is purely to lull voters into the belief everything will be alright....Julia and her Labor Party will look after you. Oh yes it will create Green Jobs alright, an army of Public Servants to administer the nightmare.
