BenBenBen,
I'm not convinced there's any acceptable reasoning behind why raising valid points and questions like yours on this forum, are not welcome by all?
"I do think Fortis should disclose more about Topsun and Yubang (their experience, track record, do they have available funds of $224m, or are they now going to search for these funds)"
My rersearch leads me to believe that Cayman Islands registered Topsun Holdings of HK otherwise known as "Topsun Creation", is a subsidiary China Innovation Investment Ltd, which was previously known as Sino Technology Investments Company Ltd.
In answer to one of your questions, China Innovation did lend 17mil interest free to Topsun in May, 2010. How much remains is going to be anyones guess.
Chairman and CEO of CH Innovation is Xiang, Xin
As at 30 April 2011, the unaudited net asset value per share of the parent company, "China Innovation Investments" was approximately HK$0.06
Couldn't find a connection to our dear Madam although Australian educated, "Chak Keung Wong" is named as the Financial Director. Whether this might also be Fortis's recently appointed Non-Executive Director is anyone's guess as the company did not wish to name the HK listing which he also holds a Directorship in?
Both CH Innovation & Sino Technology appear to have a colourful history on the HK watchdog site.
