Before I started my SMSF I was with one of the big fund managers. When I told them I was pulling out they changed rapidly from friendly to very unfriendly. basically they were insulting. "You cant manage your own super fund" he snarled. Well, its been the best thing I've ever done. Much more profitable. My accountant is my auditor, and the first years report to ATO went without a hitch. Its also very interesting.
