Labour and living costs in australia are massive compared to developing nations.
I work in the offshore construction industry both in Ausralia and o/s. My day rate in australia is 3 times that of O/S.
I also have only worked in Australia 30% in the last 5 years compared to working O?S.
Add to that the potential, carbon tax, Gillards new iron ore tax that im sure could flow into other industry and guess what. Australia isnt a friendly place to do business.
The only reason the concentration plant is here is because the ore is here!
