here you go Debono....
some food for thought for you and the team
I have taken the liberty of copying Iron mikes' post, where he raised a very valid point..
a shield is earned for 1000's of low value, low content posts....or zilch criteria, ie just high number of posts
versus we on the politics forum are not allowed a thumbs
up for a thought provoking or interesting, valid post...
extract from iron mikes post.....
????????
..........................................
So ------ we, the Right, lose our thumbs!
I have posted lots - but, apart from thumbs, of which, yes, I did get a lot, I have never earned a shield.
Yet, looking at the shield allotment criteria, I now learn that one can earn a shield just for posting often??? No matter what the quality of the posts? And I do not reflect on your particular capabilities either way in that regard, Eagle, but one is rewarded just for frequency???
??????????????
where is the difference between that, and the thumb system, which has to be earned by the composition of a presumably "well stated or considered" post, which takes up a lot of time, and which, in more meaningful manner (as it is the opinion of your poster peers,) also meant to indicate a so-called "top post?"
