...make sure you tune the detector well...as stated earlier pure Gold searching needs a quality GOLD detector,the more recent models have distinguishing features so as not to pick up junk and metal but gold..
...for beach detecting a minelab metal detector is sufficiant but for Gold go for the minelab range of GOLD detectors...
