Maybe Abu - But without knowing the total number they have to sell, what price they bought at and what their VWAP is for selling overall, then of course they can stand to take a loss at the tail end, if overall they are sitting on a large profit.
The end of these types of trading patterns are usually signified by one large final dump at market price which will cause a spike downwards.
Some try to argue they are testing for stops, but usually they just dump the remaining stock once they are on the final few million shares.
"Smarties" have orders in at 4.5 and below waiting to catch the crumbs if this eventuates.
