Geezer, I don't think anyone is jealous of those who have made money on property.
If an investor has done well out of property and they manage to escape this carnage with a few dollars still left in their pocket, then well done - they are a smart, savy operator, and deserve to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
What I have a problem with are the smug investors who THINK they are going to make money on property. But these misinformed folks are now finding out that they were never meant to be rich, contrary to what they ran around telling everyone at BBQ's a few years ago.
Geezer - are you saying that you feel sorry for these once-smug losers?
Don't you understand that they need to learn some solid life lessons? That is why we should let them suffer because they will be better off in the long run for it. Their financial affairs have really got nothing to do with me - I just enjoy posting about it.
