I think you will find that a large part of the initial Rhodia contract was done on a fixed price relating to the much lower basket at the time in exchange for their technology and experience in establishing the LAMP. A smart deal at the time as Rhodia has had an inherent interest in getting the LAMP up and running and optimised. Once that initial volume is met it should revert to market.
From what I've found it would be very optimistic to expect the LAMP to separate all the HREE's in the initial period due to the complexity of the chemistry and the individual nature of the concentrate. To produce HREE's a batch can involve 1000 individual steps with processing time over a month. It's going to take some time to get this right but this is where LYC was really smart in their long term planning by engaging the best technicians, certainly outside China.
I don't think we'll see sales at the basket price for some time and even then with LYC producing they may come off their highs.
The upside to this in my mind is the high barriers to entry for the other hopefulls. Easy enough to produce LREE but the rest gets a lot more difficult. Once LYC gets it right it will have a huge advantage over it's competitors in the ability to tie up LT contracts at very good prices.
