I had all but ruled out a pipeline to Darwin and probably any dealings with Methanex....see link here featuring an interview with Magellan Petrolium boss - William Hastings.

In the interview....William Hastings actually states, Magellan are looking to establish a GAS HUB in SHALLOW water at Evans Shoal. (We have all heard that before)

The area that is optimal within Evans Shoal, as we know is Tassie Shoal....(Only MEO and Air Products and have rights/approvals to build a hub, in the most suitable and shallow portion of Tassie Shoal. There is limited space within this very shallow portion).

What does all this mean - what is the key takeaway points ?.

(My view)....significant activity is taking place right down, which may see these big Evans Shoal oil and gas players, look to MEO/Air Products and Chemicals for a toll arrangement (or equity)...in a major new methanol project at Tassie Shoals.
