"And the ALP supporters here are trying to convince I don't know who that they are good economic managers!"

The diehard "come-what-may" labor "supporters", both paid and unpaid seem to be following the standard labor party line...

There is probably an instruction email sent from the union coordinator each day to the mass of foot-soliders tasked with posting again and again and again the union decided talking points on a variety of social networking sites for that day..

Invariably there will be a "throw some mud at Tony Abbott and try to stir up some trouble there" item along with a "defend gillard no matter how stupid her last series of actions are" item...

It does seem that the theme now seems to be the fear that Australia will really feel the effects of the GFC with a potential China mineral demand slowdown...

This will be completely different to the GFC under rudd where Australia was almost completely insulated from the GFC effects due to the continuing mineral demand from China, even if a significant portion of the demand was stockpiling.
And of course the simple fact that prudent financial management of our banks meant very low exposure to the toxic financial instruments that goldman and other US institutions had infected much of the US and Europe with...

The GFC under rudd was characterised more by a bed-wetting panic/run-from-the-shadows/dont-analyse-just-throw-cash" from rudd and a crazy "throw-some-cash-at-everybody-so-they-wont-notice-the-rort-filled-crony-projects-rudd-was-starting" scheme that left Australia deeply in debt and squandered the surplus the prudent and senible economic managers of the Howard years had left...

If the anticpated and much watched for China slowdown does continue and is accompanied by a slowdown in demand for our minerals then Australia will really notice that the GFC has hit...

Unfortunately this incompetent labor government has run us into debt with uncontrolled spending and crazy rorting to feed their crony network...

The incompetent gillard government has decimated much of the non-mining economy and have their sights on the decimation of the mining and industrial sector now.

Incredibly, the incompetent and cash-hungry gillard government now plan to burden Australians and industry with failed "carbon-tax" social experiment to boost their socialist credentials and have decided that it was necessary for gillard to use a massive election lie to do so.

This "gillard's-no-carbon-tax-election-lie" strategy seems to have been necessary since it was a certainty that the Australian people would never accept anything as blatantly foolish as a carbon tax, unless lied to by gillard...
