Hi Mojo,
The bulk testwork is to test the design of the companies proposed mill(different circuits, recovories etc) on a mini-scale with a mini pilot plant.
The first sample results showed their design was working well with excellent recovories etc.
Now they may have tweaked some parts of the process looking for a better recovery, but its essentially the same mini- pilot plant.
Its stands to reason this larger sample (50 tonnes)going through this pilot is going to return circuit results in-line with testwork mark 1.
I still expect to see the results regardless of jorc upgrade, as its all about 'proof' of the plant design.
The company has also stated testwork result data will be used in the DFS.
The fact pilot testwork results are higher than jorc doesn't surprise me.
It just highlights the difference between the geological resource (jorc) 1.7%Cueq, and bulk sample resource (circa 4% cu).
I think people can now realise that with further drilling you can alway improve the jorc grade, but testwork will always be a consistent measure of ore grade that ends up going through the mill.
The DFS will only need to use the numbers from yesterday to show that every year for 10 years initial mining the company will make excellent return for shareholders.
The bulk samples are telling me those returns have a major upside when the actual mine production data comes out in a few years.
