Did you actually see this early lathing machine working automatically, or are you just basing your comments on samples, photos, video and claims, .... and there have been plenty of them. !! .... and did you actually see veneer, reliably and repeatedly, coming out of the earlier lathing machines at the rates you say - "faster" - (and there are two stages to the veneering process, remember), and have you actually seen for yourself the current production veneering machine and the process, cycle, automation and output. If not, how valid are your conclusions.?? If the earlier machine(s) were so briliant, then why was they disbanded. Makes you wonder .... about a lot of things !! My information, from ppy, is that the wrinkling of the veneer is a consequence of the drying process at Walkamin, not the veneering process, and it can easily be pressed flat.
.... and is the performamce of the current production veneering machine the reason for lack of overseas licenses, which is the true measure of "progress" for PPY
