Australians fought the Indonesians when they and the Brits were trying to help the Dutch regain control over Indonesia at the end of WW2, they failed. Australians again fought against Indonesians during Confrontation whilst assisting Malaya during operations along the Malay/Indonesian border in Borneo. Our troops found the Indonesians to be the best jungle fighters they had ever encountered. I don't think Australia will ever fight against Indonesia and I hope we don't as it would be a repeat of our failure in Vietnam. As for the experts claim,if they made it on the list it is only because of the publicity they have gotten around the world. At any other time the most popular person would be one of their sporting heros and the President at the time. You could also add Coca Cola and McDonalds to the most popular list as the most popular foods and Indonesia is always the most popular place most want to live.
