I've had two brothers in the Australian army and one thing they agree on is the army recognises that technology alone is not enough and train accordingly.I think that is one of our strenghts is to fight with little because in comparison to the Americans we haven't got a lot!
Of course if you compare the Aussie army with say the Indonesians or Vietcong we are still way more technologically advanced and yes I agree it makes the enemy with that disadvantage that much more harder to fight!
Although technology and firepower is effective in some terrains the Iraq wars proved that.If Iraq was jungle and the people where commited to there leader they would still be fighting today
