Do you believe we are replacing ourselves. If you consider the numbers who don't marry or live together and look at the number of children in families today it is pretty obvious.
I don't have the figures at hand but I am sure they are available.
With more and more emphasis placed on women working plus the necessity for more income the number of children in families is unlikely to rise and will probably fall.
Migration is becoming all important for just stabilising the population.
Personally I don't won't to see it increase. Why exploit your resources in a hurry when you don't have to. You can probably fit ten more people in your house but is that how you want to live? I don't mean literally but you know what I mean.
