"Actually it would save a lot of wasted energy use to do away with the Movie industry. No one is better off because of it. And it costs a fortune in power and fuel use from making a movie to sitting around in airconditioned theatres watching someones fantacy."

It certainly would make sense for the massive profits these "movie stars" earn while generating huge carbon footprints and creating follow-on "carbon polution" by the adverising, distribution, and as pointed out above, the "airconditioned theatres" to watch these useless movies...
be recycled into some good rather than gillard hitting pensioners and battlers with a massive new carbon tax-cash-grab

Actually I cant recall a recent movie that was even worth the time to watch so it seems that the main purpose of all this high carbon-footprint activity, all this flying around the world to make movies and attend movie related events, is all very much to do with primarily massively enriching a few movie stars and associated insiders on the movie gravy train.

For one person to earn 53million a year as I have seen stated and use that money to live an outsized massive carbon-print lifestyle you would think would be seen as close to criminal by the carbon-crusaders and the global warming cultists.

How can such a mega-rich person be put up as an example for others to follow, especially when the example is supposed to be to moderate consumption and lead a low-carbon-footprint, 2minute showers, 1 square of toilet paper, reuse your old carrot cuttings, life style...

Another glaring example of the logical disconnect among the global warming cultists...
they present to us common people and battlers, a mega-rich person who personifies all that these global warming cultists claim is evil, high carbon producing, living high on the hog, and must be stopped...
as an example to all of us of how we all should behave and live our lives...

    Incredible...
