Zone trader, I understand what the point of your post is and I would also add that repeatedly putting up the price of cigarettes hasn't stopped smokers and neither do no smoking signs. In fact, some research from Oxford U says that the signs often encourage people to smoke by reminding them. I would like to see the governments advice on trade practices and trademark law before supporting this move, it may cost the Australian taxpayer billions if they are wrong. This is still a legal product.
