The reason this came about was that I have already invested about 10k into fairly speculative stocks (UNX,PEN,ADO,CCC,SDL)

Although these are a lot of fun and hopefully will make me some money down the track. . .

I am now kinda looking to invest in something a little more stable. . . so I thought my options were just a managed fund. . . (new to investing so please forgive my ignorance)

However I quickly discovered this was not the case. . .

IP (investment Property) -not a good idea at the moment from what I have read/researched

Managed fund - not a good way to go ?for stupid people?, fees etc

LIC- Looks quite attractive need to do more research

ETF - Less attractive, need to do more research

Other option I guess is to find a few asx top 20 and just invest there . . eg ORG,BHP,ANZ
